Posty Cards' has long had a corporate philosophy of minimizing our impact on the environment. We are committed to having a small carbon footprint and the last few years, in conjunction with the expansion of our facility, we have had made significant advances in our eco-friendly journey. As a business hoping to become a role model for sustainability, we understand that accountability must be a major component. Therefore, we have chosen to work with key 3rd party sustainability auditors and seek certifications to verify our accomplishments.

Posty Cards Sustainability Policy
Our manufacturing plant and headquarters in Kansas City, MO is one of the only manufacturing plants nationwide to attain LEED Platinum certification from the U.S. Green Building Council. It is the highest distinction available to green buildings and a testament to our commitment to sustainability. Our recent expansion/remodel doubled our space yet due to the efficient design, we are projected to use only 5% more energy.
Our 390 panels solar panel installation generates 94KW
and provides over 20% of our electricity.
The building features a large solar photovoltaic panel installation which provides over 20% of our electricity, solar heated water, high efficiency variable refrigerant volume HVAC, natural lighting, active artificial lighting controls, rain water reclamation for irrigation and flushing toilets, a water retention basin for storm water management, and native plant landscaping including rain gardens. Other sustainable elements of the facility are low VOC paint, 100% recycled carpeting, low flow plumbing fixtures and used furnishings. Learn more.
The Sustainable Sentiments® line includes Birthday, Holiday, Thank you, Anniversary and Sympathy Cards designed for businesses to send to clients or employees. The new cards are printed with soy inks on recycled paper, come with 100% recycled envelopes and feature a “green” theme.
All cards manufactured by Posty Cards, Inc. are printed using soy based inks, are recyclable, and most are printed on recycled or FSC® certified paper.
In addition to the Sustainable Sentiments® line, we offer a large selection of environmentally friendly business greeting cards. Cards with unique green attributes are flagged with the leaf symbol throughout our website.
Posty Cards is a proud sponsor of the United Way. Employees are encouraged to participate in payroll deductions and one time donations during the annual United Way fund drive. To increase the impact of employee contributions, the company matches 100% of what is donated. www.unitedwaygkc.org
To support local farming, reduce the amount of fossil fuel used to deliver food and facilitate healthy eating, Posty Cards is a member of a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program. Participating employees receive weekly shipments of fresh produce that was harvested the same day. The food is conveniently delivered to Posty Cards from Fahrmeier Farms which is just down the highway in Lexington, Missouri.
